100 Hour Yoga Teacher Training & Retreat in Italy - YogaMea School

The 100-Hour Yoga Teacher Training curriculum runs parallel to the 200-Hour course, and introduces the question, "What is Yoga?" This inquiry establishes the foundation for the next 15 days and 14 nights, while we explore Hatha Yoga postures, as well as introduce Sanskrit terms for each asana, without the expectation that you have a high degree of proficiency in their use.

Students are exposed to a foundational understanding of the human organism according to Western science and Ayurveda, to create a bridge between Eastern and Western ideologies and help students begin making connections for themselves.
This intensive 100-Hour Yoga Teacher Training Course in Italy, is designed for beginner to intermediate level yoga aspirants unable to be away from home for long a period at one time, for them 200 hour course is divided into two phases each lasting two weeks for the regular RYT USA.

100-Hour Yoga Teacher Training Course in Italy

After completion of the first phase of the 100-Hour Yoga Teacher Training Course in Italy, you can continue your journey, by signing up for a second two-week course of our scheduled 200-Hour Yoga Teacher Training courses Italy.

On completion of both phases, and having successfully passed the final assessments that take place during the last week of a 200-Hour Yoga Teacher Training Course in Italy, students will receive an international certificate: RYT 200, Yoga Alliance, USA.

SStudents joining us for our 100-Hour certification are eligible to return to YogaMea School at a later date to complete their training towards the 200-Hour certification. Eligibility to register with the Yoga Alliance, USA, for their RYT-200 designation follows completion of the remaining 100 hours of training.
Students may apply their 100-Hour certifications towards completion of 200-Hour courses only at YogaMea School.

Yoga Alliance Continuing Education Provider

Prerequisite: Some exposure to yoga through public classes, private lessons, or videos, with a minimum of 2 years of practice. Practice need not be consistent (as in 1-3 days a week). No prior yoga teacher training certification is required.
This two-week, all-inclusive course is 15 days and 14 nights.
Check-in: Sunday after 2:00 PM
Lessons start Monday and end on Saturday after two weeks
Check-out: Sunday morning before 10:00 AM

Reservation: To reserve your seat in the 100-Hour Yoga Teacher Training Course in Italy, pay your non-refundable deposit in the form of 10% of the total fee. The balance is due upon arrival, before the start of the course.

  • Students completing Phase I of the 100-Hour Yoga Teacher Training courses will be required to complete Phase II before being eligible for RYT 200-Hour certification.
  • Students completing either phase of a 100-Hour Yoga Teacher Training course must complete their assessments based on written as well as practical evaluation. Written assignments are given in Phase I, 100-Hour Yoga Teacher Training course.
  • Student conduct and adherence to the Code of Conduct is part of your overall evaluation.
  • Students must maintain a rate of 90% attendance for the duration of the course in order to qualify for final Assessment.
  • Yoga teachers who have completed all the requirements of the 200-Hour Yoga Teacher Training Course will be given a Certificate confirming that they have completed all requirements for training and teaching experiences according to Yoga Alliance, USA, standards.

What is 100 hour yoga teacher training?

The 100-Hour Yoga Teacher Training curriculum runs parallel to the 200-Hour course, and takes place over 15 days and 14 nights. This intensive residential teacher training is offered in Italy and India and is designed for the beginner to intermediate level yoga aspirant who is unable to be away from home for too long a period at one time.

Is the 100 hour yoga teacher training a certification course?

Yes. Students receive a YogaMea School certification after completing the 100 hour yoga teacher training course. However, students will become eligible to register for the Yoga Alliance RYT 200 only after completing both phases for a total of 200 hours.

What is YACEP?

YACEP, or Yoga Alliance Continuing Education Provider®, is a Yoga Alliance designation for individuals that teach continuing education courses. As a YACEP, you can teach courses that will count as Continuing Education hours for RYTs. You can also list your courses on the Yoga Alliance YACEP Directory. For more information, click here.

Is this course valuable for the YACEP?

The YACEP designation is only available to an E-RYT registrant. However, the 100 hour certificate is an important step towards becoming a YACEP. If you are registered with Yoga Alliance as a teacher but are not yet an E-RYT, check with the Yoga Alliance to see if you are eligible to upgrade.

After 100 hour yoga teacher training, in order to complete the 200 Hour, can I continue my education with another school?

No. According to the Yoga Alliance standards, all training hours must come from the same school and multiple trainings from different schools cannot be combined to meet the 200-hour requirement. In order to obtain your 200 Hour yoga teacher training certificate, you must complete both phases with YogaMea School.

What kind of certificate will I receive after I complete the 100 hour Yoga Teacher Training Course?

You will receive a YogaMea School certificate of completion indicating that you have completed 100 hours towards the 200-Hour Yoga Teacher Training certification. Yoga teachers who have completed all requirements of the 200-Hour Yoga Teacher Training Course in compliance with Yoga Alliance, USA, standards will be given a certificate and be eligible to register for RYT 200.
